Walk Through of the Season
April - May
In the spring, we apply a custom blended, slow release granular fertilizer to stimulate growth and promote deep, dark colour. Our technicians do a thorough turf inspection for winter damage and grub infestation, leaving recommendations on your invoice. Once the ground thaws out, we offer our spring application of over-seeding and aeration.
May - June
Once the weather warms up, we start applying our liquid early summer fertilizer which is custom blended to promote a thick, healthy lawn. We also begin our Weed Control applications which targets most broad leaf weeds. As usual, the technicians will also be looking for signs of grub damage or other recommendations regarding your lawn.
June - July
In the heat of summer, the products we apply are heavily influenced by the weather. We start with the third fertilizer; our liquid summer fertilizer with kelp. This helps your turf retain more water to fight against the drought and heat of the summer. Our weed control treatments typically are done until late June or early July but heavily dependent on the weather. Near the end of this application period, our technicians will also start to apply our grub control applications.
July - August
The late summer liquid fertilizer is applied through the later months of summer and also include the addition of kelp to combat the heat. Throughout these months, you will see the technicians applying the grub control heavily to impacted areas, this is when the grubs in the lawn are the most susceptible to the treatment.
September - October
Finally, on the last application of the season a fall fertilizer will be applied. This helps to prep your lawn for the winter ahead. We will also be spraying our weed control once the temperatures drop to an appropriate level. Similar to the spring, the aeration and over-seeding services are completed. Your lawn should be looking green and ready to face the oncoming chill. We won't see you again until next spring, but you will hear from us regarding your renewal notice in early winter!
